You do not need a green thumb to design a beautiful terrarium, just a little creativity to design a home for your succulent! In this experience, you'll learn how to care for your succulent as well as design and decorate your own planter with paints, stencils, and more!
Duration
60 minutes
What's in your kit
- Terrarium wooden planter (4x4x4”)
- 1 Fresh succulent
- Cactus Soil, Sand, and Activated charcoal
- Decorative elements to include rocks, moss, paint, and stencils
- Tools include bamboo tongs, a scoop, and a brush
What you need to bring
- Water for transplanting
- Paper towels (optional)
When your kit arrives
Take the succulent out of the package upon arrival and keep it by a sunny spot on the windowsill. No need to water it! Fortunately, the succulents we supply are pretty hardy. We will water the succulent once it is planted in its new home.
How to prepare your workspace
To prepare your workspace you’ll want a few square feet of space and to protect any electronics from sand and dirt. You’ll want a flat surface with access to a garbage bag or compost for easy cleaning.
Also start thinking about any decorations or items you'd like to showcase with your succulent. Examples could include gems, fossils, shells, metal items, or any other water-resistant decorative pieces.

Other questions
Where can I find the video call link?
In most cases, you can find the link to your video call in your calendar invite or in an email that your event organizer sent you. If you can't find it, contact your event organizer.
My kit hasn't arrived. What should I do?
It's rare, but sometimes mail gets lost or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. If you gave us your email address when signing up, you would have received tracking information when it was dispatched so you can see your package's location and can contact the carrier directly. If you're still having no luck, let your event organizer know, and we'll do our best to get you a replacement kit asap.
Can you send me step-by-step instructions after the event?
If you'd like to receive written instructions for the experience so you can do it again, just ask the instructor. They'll notify your event coordinator to send to your event organizer after the event.
